  • Conduct analysis of the statements of the witness and the victims to collect necessary information for decision making. Examine evidence and frame interviews with utmost intelligence.

  • Constables also act as the Patrolling guards who keep watch over their respective areas. They are also given powers to take necessary actions without a senior officer to maintain peace and harmony and avoid issues.

  • The constable handles all activities concerning the paperwork. The initial reporting, maintaining FIRs, evidence collection, noting down statements and information gathered during the investigation and maintaining the case proceedings. All this is to be reported from time to time to the senior officers.

  • Other duties of a UP Police Constable include police verification, traffic police duty (if needed), VIPs security, ensuring adherence to law and order within the area.
